Employment at Youthlink Youthlink Family Trust employs over thirty staff in a range of roles. These include Therapists, Youth Workers, Houseparents, Administration and Management. By far the biggest group are Youth Workers who support young people in the homes and school and are responsible for a lot of liaison between homes, school and administration.
Youth Workers primarily support our young people by setting an example through their own conduct, presentation and attitude. They guide residents through their daily life including self care, sporting and creative activities, schooling, behaviour management, interaction with peers and adults and learning basic life skills.
Houseparents are also vital to providing a consistent and caring home environment for our young people and enquiries are invited for these positions based in residential homes.
Caregivers, although not employees, provide care for our young people in their own homes. They are paid an allowance to provide this care as well as training and support from Youthlink.
Youthlink is always interested in hearing from people who are appropriately motivated to work with 'at risk' young people, particularly in the roles of Caregivers and Youth Workers. Please download the Job Description and Application form below, provide the information requested, and fax or post them to us if you would like to discuss this employment opportunity further.
(All Youthlink Family Trust employees and caregivers agree to Police, medical and CYF checks to ensure the safety and well being of our young people and staff.)
